Welcome To Our Practice
Thank you for selecting The Pediatric Center as your pediatrician of choice. We are thrilled to care for your family and build a lasting partnership. If you are having a baby or transferring from a previous pediatrician, we are here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Expecting A Baby? Here’s How to Prepare
Having a new baby is a very exciting time – and comes with a lot of uncertainty and questions. It is our goal to help you transition through this time smoothly and support you every step of the way. Here’s what to expect:
Register for a Baby Class
Be sure to call our office to register for one of our complimentary new baby classes (the 3rd Thursday of every month) and/or schedule a pre-natal appointment with our office.
Verify Insurance
The Pediatric Center accepts most insurance plans. Just to be sure, it’s important to call your insurance and verify we are in-network. We regularly perform rounds at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Overlook Hospital, and Saint Barnabas.
List Us
When you complete your hospital pre-registration paperwork, list us as your pediatrician of choice. This will ensure the hospital contacts us after you give birth.
In The Hospital
One of our doctors will visit you and your newborn in the hospital after giving birth to check in on you and meet your new baby.
Your Baby’s First Check-Up
Please call our office on the day of your discharge from the hospital to schedule your newborn check-up within 2-4 days after leaving the hospital. It’s important to also call your insurance provider as soon as possible to alert them you have given birth. You have 30 days to add your new baby to your group insurance plan.
Congratulations on your new, exciting journey!
Transferring from Another Pediatrician?
If you are transferring to our practice from another pediatrician, we will help make the transition smooth and seamless. There are a few simple steps to take:
Verify insurance
The Pediatric Center accepts most insurance plans. Simply call your insurance to verify we are an in-network provider.
Make An Appointment
Call our office to schedule your first appointment at your earliest convenience.
Register
Prior to your first appointment, you can save time by completing your new patient registration forms from the comfort of your home. Download the registration packet here.
Request Medical Records
It is very important for us to have the medical history of your child. Contact your previous pediatrician and ask them for a release form (a signed release is usually required). Transferring your child/children’s complete medical history could take time, so please ask for the immunization records separately.
Your First Appointment – What You Need
Please ensure you bring your completed registration packet, insurance cards and immunization records with you to your first visit.
