Complimentary Prenatal Classes New Providence, NJ
Your search for a healthcare provider should begin around 3 months before your baby’s due date to ensure you have someone in place, especially if the baby arrives early.
Our new environment has made it challenging to interview a pediatrician to find a match to your style and personality. Once a month we host complimentary prenatal classes to help prepare you for your newborn and leave you feeling more confident and comfortable in taking care of your new baby. This is a free prenatal class offered to expectant moms and dads and is open to the public.
Topics Include:
- What to expect during your hospital stay
- Feeding your new baby breast milk vs. formula
- Baby sleeping habits
- Bathing/changing
- Safety
- When to expect to see the doctor
- When to call the doctor
- Immunizations
- Use of antibiotics

When and Where
Our free prenatal class is offered in our office on the third Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, led by Clare Cardo McKegney, DNP, APN, CPNP , our on-staff Doctor of Pediatric Nursing and certified breastfeeding counselor. Everyone comes to the role of a new parent with expectations, experiences, and dreams. It is essential to discuss it and support each other in your new roles as parents. Part of this class is a gentle reminder to be patient with each other and yourself.
